South Shore Music Hall announced that its Unplugged Thursdays music series will begin on January 23, 2014. The weekly music series will feature an array of national, regional and local acoustic artists, and will kick off with popular acoustic duo Bonfire. Unplugged Thursdays are sponsored by Smirnoff Flavored Vodkas and open to guests 21 and over. Shows will begin at 9:05pm (doors at 8:30pm). Tickets will range from free to $5 depending on the performer, and are available at southshoremusichall.com.
Future performances will include Michael Spaulding (1/30), Jim Libby (2/6), Lenny Lashley of The Street Dogs (2/13), Rocket Queen (2/20), and Echoes of Petra (2/27), with more national acts joining the lineup in March 2014.
“There is something pure and unrefined about acoustic music. It’s experiential,” says South Shore Music Hall Manager, Tim Santos. “We want to bring that experience to our stage. And we want guests to be able to enjoy that experience in a way that they can’t at other venues.”
